Re-Use GameÜK 30.09.2026 · Selina Reusser

The Re-Use Game has been produced and is being introduced into the ÜK

Production of the Re-Use Game has been completed. From the end of September, around 80 per cent of Switzerland’s inter-company training regions will be using it in their inter-company courses. This means that trainee draughtsmen and draughtswomen studying for the EFZ qualification will be engaging with circular construction, material selection and CO₂ emissions at a much earlier stage than before.

Convinced at the gaming table

How do you convince the last remaining sceptics of a new teaching aid? You let them play. At the plenary day in Thurgau, we played the Re-Use Game together with the representatives from the inter-company training regions. There was discussion, negotiation and exchange of ideas, and in the end, everything revolved around the question of how we will build in a circular way in the future. Afterwards, it was clear: the game is suitable for the ÜK. In the weeks that followed, training days were held for teachers. Thanks to the support of Karin Sidler (cirkla.ch), we are also able to roll out the project in French-speaking Switzerland.

Produced in Switzerland

At the heart of the finished game is a tactile 3D model on which the teams bring their own building projects to life. We produced the games in collaboration with Vögeli AG Marketingproduktion & Druck, 3Dstore.ch (FAIGLE 3D) and Zachoni Holzbau. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to them and to Plavenir for their cooperation.

Also for design consultancies

The Re-Use Game also offers architectural and engineering firms a playful introduction to the challenges and opportunities of circular construction.
