Teaching circular construction in a practical way.
Our learning resources consist of digital courses and the Re-Use Game. They combine practical construction, sustainability and digital tools – ready for immediate use in the classroom and on work placements.
Our offers
Re-Use Game
Bringing sustainability in construction to life
The Re-Use Game is an educational game in which learners, acting as planning firms, make their own construction decisions: whether to buy new building components or reuse existing ones, save costs or reduce CO₂ emissions.

Digital learning programmes
Easily integrating sustainability and the circular economy into lessons
Our digital learning resources provide a straightforward introduction to the topics of sustainability and the circular economy. They can be used directly in the classroom and require no significant additional effort.
The content is structured in modules, designed to be practical and aligned with the framework curriculum for vocational colleges.
Sustainable Construction
Learners explore the fundamentals of sustainable construction and place the construction industry within the context of sustainable development. They recognise the responsibilities associated with their profession and understand how they themselves can contribute to shaping a sustainable environment. An ideal introduction to a key topic in the training programme.
Fundamentals of Circular Construction
Learners analyse contemporary construction methods and compare them with circular approaches. Using specific real-world examples, they develop an understanding of how materials can be kept in circulation and resources conserved. The course provides a solid foundation for discussion and reflection in the classroom.
Digitalisation & Life Cycle Assessment
Learners are introduced to digital tools that support sustainable and circular construction. They gain an insight into BIM, digital twins and life cycle assessments, and use the Ecotool to carry out simple life cycle assessments themselves. In this way, they experience first-hand how digital tools enable informed decisions to be made during the planning stage.
How it works in the classroom
The courses are clearly structured from a teaching perspective and are based on the AVIVA model: practical skills are developed step by step. They are delivered using the flipped classroom approach. This creates more scope for discussion, practical application and active learning.
Developing the fundamentals
Learners work through the basics independently using digital learning modules.
Apply and explore further
In class, the material is put into practice and explored in greater depth using real-life examples.
Reflecting together
To finish, the class reflects together on what they have learnt.
Areas of application
Vocational Studies / Sector-Specific Training
Further training in the workplace
Higher technical college
Benefits for vocational colleges
a practical approach to current industry topics
Engaging learning formats rather than purely lecture-based teaching
Development of practical skills
Minimal preparation and follow-up work for teachers

Teaching safely and in a practical way
Our professional development programmes support teachers in incorporating sustainability and circular construction into their lessons in a confident and practical way.
In collaboration with Constructa, we combine technical fundamentals with practical applications and the use of our learning modules.

What teachers say
Experiences of teachers who are already using the Re-Use Game and our courses
“The Re-Use Game was an excellent way to explore the topics of reuse and sustainability in a playful manner. The students were able to understand how individual decisions affect a building’s environmental footprint.”
Sandra Flury, Qualified Architect (HTL) & Vocational College Tutor, BBZH
“Through the Re-Use Game, the students were able to explore sustainability and reuse in a playful way. It was particularly valuable that they realised just how much individual choices regarding materials and decisions influence a building’s environmental footprint.”
Daniel Stähli, Graduate Architect (FH), vocational college teacher, Canton of Bern
“The courses provide a good introduction to the topics of sustainability and circular construction. The content helps learners to understand key interrelationships within the construction industry.”
Rita Steinmann, Dipl. Arch. FH, teacher at BBZB Lucerne
“The course content is academically sound and presented in a practical manner. Sustainability and circular construction are explained in a way that is easy to understand and can be readily linked to the learners’ professional practice.”
Felix Lüthi, Dipl. Arch. FH, lecturer at BBZB Lucerne
