Re-Use Game: around 400 trainees took part in the inter-company training sessions
There has been plenty going on in the inter-company courses (ÜK) over the past few weeks. Around 400 trainee draughtsmen and draughtswomen (EFZ) have played the Re-Use Game, spread across almost all ÜK regions in Switzerland.
In the game, the apprentices take on the role of design consultancies. They design, negotiate, reuse building components and work together to find solutions that balance costs and the carbon footprint. In this way, they experience first-hand how circular construction works and what decisions play a part in it.
We’ve learnt a lot too
The first rounds of the game have provided us with a wealth of experience, feedback and new ideas. These are being incorporated into the game’s further development.
We would like to thank all the inter-company training coordinators and teachers for their trust, Karin Sidler (cirkla.ch) for her support during the sessions, and Plavenir for their collaboration in bringing the project to fruition.
Beyond vocational training
The Re-Use Game is also suitable for architecture and planning firms or for workshops on circular construction. The game can be purchased directly from Future Perfect.
